Bankroll management is the foundation of sustainable gambling. Before you place a single bet, decide exactly how much money you are prepared to spend — and treat that figure as an entertainment budget, not an investment. Once that amount is gone, the session ends. This single habit separates disciplined players from those who chase losses.
Divide your total bankroll into session amounts. If your monthly gambling budget is ৳6,000, consider splitting it into six sessions of ৳1,000 each. This prevents one bad session from wiping out your entire month's allowance and keeps the experience enjoyable across multiple sittings.
The 1–5% per-bet rule is widely recommended by experienced gamblers: keep each individual wager between 1% and 5% of your current session bankroll. On a ৳1,000 session bankroll, this means bets between ৳10 and ৳50. Larger bets create enormous variance and can end a session in just a few rounds — smaller bets extend your playtime and give the game's RTP more opportunity to produce its statistical average outcomes.
Know when to walk away. Set a win target (e.g., "I will stop when I am up 50%") and a loss limit (e.g., "I will stop when I have lost 40% of my session bankroll"). Write these limits down before you start. When you hit either target, close the game. Emotional discipline is harder in the moment than it sounds — having pre-committed limits removes the temptation to keep going.
Finally, track your play. A simple note on your phone recording each session's date, game, deposit, and outcome takes under a minute and reveals patterns over time. Many players who track their gambling discover they perform better on certain game types or at certain times of day — insights that no strategy guide can give you but your own data will.
